Spelling -plurals
  • most words add -s at the end
  • most words that end in -fe and -f change the -f or -fe to -v and add -es
  • words that end in -ff just add -s
Reading - The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark - Chapters 1 and 2
Literature Circle jobs - Discussion Director, Connector and Artful Artist


Maths
Fractions- review
Decimals - one tenth is the same written 1/10 or 0.1, related it to ten cent coins, the decimal point

Houses should be brought to school, the power points will be completed, students will have a chance to practice then present thier power points and houses

  • words that end in the hiss sound (s, z, x, ch, sh, ss) add -es
  • words that end in a consonant and -y, you drop the -y and add -ies
Grammar - continuing to review irregular past tense
Reading - a book about the three little pigs told from the wolf's prespective

This week there was an assembly in which the primary school shared about their field trips and/or other things they have been doing. Here is the power point that Grade 3 presented. Aidan, Marco, Rosa and Leila E were risk-takers who volunteered to present for 3B. Great job!
